As editor, assistant director and archival researcher, for  award-winning films like "One Day When We Were Young" and "Once Upon A Bite,” Chipeng honed his craft as a documentary filmmaker. This work ignited an insatiable curiosity and an explorer's spirit within him.

Fueled by this hunger for fresh experience, Chipeng then worked in world of TV Commercials for Stink Films in Shanghai. Here he cultivated a  keen sense of visual style that complements his documentary works.

Eager to bring his talents into the world of experience, Chip embarked on a 6-month solo adventure across the vibrant plains of Africa and completed a short docu-series "Art Guides to Africa", which peeks into the rich tapestry of cultures through the eyes of local painters, sculptors and a blind musician. Some of these works can be seen the trailers below.

Before his hard-earned calluses could fade, the enigma of humanity called to him once again. He appeared in wartime Lebanon to shoot an anti-war film as missiles slicing across the starry skies, capturing the absurd optimism of Shia refugees and the trapped Christian audiences—mere pawns on the Middle Eastern chessboard. The film is currently in the editing stage.
